I have worked with a couple of private Ning sites but this is my first public one. I am interested in observing what what I and the other members do that improve and get in the way of engagement and participation. I know quality of content is key, but I am sure there are many other triggers and it will be fun to watch it all.
And then there is the question of "will they come?" It used to be that as long as your content was good, readers would find you, but now with so many good sites to choose from, I think that there is much more to it.
And then again, perhaps the size of the network does not matter if the quality of the dialogue and contribution is high. That's one of my main goals - to catalyze and participate in great network dialogue.
